Kit contents are always specific to customer requirements and it is important that at the design stage full consultation takes place with the end users because changes in kit contents at a later stage can involve reprogramming of the inserts.

Inventory lists are attached to every kit to provide a reference for stores personnel and end users to identify losses. When large numbers of kits are in use and small variations exist in the contents, inventory lists become essential.
